We are pleased to announce the dates of our upcoming
Broadway Musical Revue, now to be held annually in April at the Carroll Arts
Center. This year you will have two performances to choose from (or come to
both); Saturday, April 21st at 2:30 PM or 8:00 PM. We strongly encourage
purchasing tickets in advance as we sold out at our last revue and had to turn
people away. Tickets will go on sale in March 2012. The proceeds from the revue
go to insuring the financial health of September Song Musical Theatre. Check
our website often as more information about the revue will be added throughout
the coming months.

As many of
you now know, September Song Musical Theatre was forced to go dark this year in
an effort to avoid total collapse. Instead of our traditional full scale
musical production, we organized a musical revue to raise funds to help us
return to the stage in 2012 with a full scale musical production for the entire
family. Last weekend, past stars of September Song & special guests took to
the Carroll Arts Center stage & performed for a sold out house. The turn
out last Saturday far surpassed our expectations & warmed our hearts. This “support
in numbers reaffirmed to us the community’s desire to keep September Song alive & well
for years to come.
To those who
were turned away on Saturday night because we were sold out, I sincerely
apologize for any inconvenience it may have caused. We set out on “uncharted
territory” Saturday night & while we feel that we did a lot right, we definitely
came away with things we can improve on for the next revue. We thank you for
your understanding & hope you will join us at a future event. To those who
were able to attend & share their love & support with us on Saturday
evening, words cannot express how thankful we are to each of you for being
there. We are on the road to get to where we need to be financially so we can continue
the Carroll County tradition that is September Song.
Sincerely, Allen Cross President September Song Board of Directors |

It is with great joy and excitement that we announce to you that September Song Musical Theatre is in the process of returning to Carroll County! We will be presenting a musical revue gala containing past and present stars from the September Song family. They will be singing some of your favorite Broadway melodies accompanied by live music. Your ticket to our musical revue as well as donations and sponsorships will help enable September Song return to the stage in 2012 with another well-known and loved Broadway musical for Carroll County. A silent auction in the arts center gallery, a slide show presenting September Song’s extensive past history of excellence, and various refreshments will also be available. So bring your friends, your relatives, your hearts and your memories and share in the amazing love and support that the citizens of Carroll County have offered up in order to return September Song to the stage. It is with mixed
emotions that we announce that September Song Musical Theatre (SSMT) will not
be offering Children of Eden for our 2011 season. As you may already be
aware, in recent months SSMT has experienced a lot of changes and in the new
environment we find ourselves, we simply do not have the means to pursue a musical
production for 2011. With that being said, the auditions slated for June 5th,
7th and 9th have been cancelled. We sincerely appreciate all of the interest
expressed about our 2011 season and deeply regret having to cancel so
close to auditions.
SSMT is not gone for
good. We are now shifting our focus to fund raising and securing
sponsorships so that we can hopefully return next year in a better
position to continue the Carroll County tradition that is September Song. Over
the coming weeks we plan to announce fund raising events designed to help us
reach our goal of a 2012 season. Our fund
raising events will not be possible without your support. We also
welcome any fund raising ideas you may have; please direct any fund
raising ideas to our President, Allen Cross at allen@september-song.org.
Again, we thank you for
your continued support and welcome any questions or concerns you may have.
On behalf of the SSMT Board of Directors we wish each of you a
happy and safe summer and look forward to seeing you at a fund raising event
soon!
Sincerely, Joan Eichhorn - Producer Allen Cross - President - SSMT Board of Directors
